Our Great Valentines Event, February 2019.

First of all, a huge warm thank you to our volunteers who helped make this year's Valentines Celebration such a heartfelt and special experience for all. This year there were plenty of familiar faces –and lots of new ones too! Thanks to all who attended. It means so much to the old animals to have so many caring people around to celebrate on this holiday of the heart.

The event was a great success and lots of fun. Guests enjoyed delicious vegan refreshments, learned about eldercare and hospice for animals, and enjoyed lots of big doggie smiles and wagging tails. Big Al, one of our newest old dogs, had such a good time meeting all of the guests as they went out on tours of the sanctuary. He says “Thanks for all the hugs and kisses from everyone who came to wish me and my senior friends a happy Valentine’s Day!”

ART SHOW FUNDRAISER 2018

We celebrated over 15 years of caring for old animals this year at our annual Art Show Fundraiser!

Thanks to the support of each and every one of you, Kindred Spirits has been able to help hundreds of older unwanted dogs, horses, and poultry and has been spreading the word about our Wellness Care Program and our in-home model of animal hospice care further with each year.

We had over 200 visitors in attendance this year!

Visitors enjoyed delicious vegan refreshments and, for the first time ever, our Art Show featured the lovely serenade of cello music drifting through the poultry yard as our guests met our feathered friends. With big smiles and wagging tails, senior dogs Polli and Juniper led visitors through lush gardens and barns to discover treasures of art in unexpected places. Along the way, our guests also learned about our mission, and how to plan for caring for their old animals in their own homes. With the scent of fresh rain in the air, the poultry bathing in fresh puddles, and the little dogs napping blissfully on their sunny porch, guests got a unique opportunity this year to see our old animals enjoying their environment; rain and shine.

Thanks to your help, we have been able to raise funds that are crucial for upcoming Winter expenses and are ready to get our next 15 years off to a great start!
